First day of competition, all the resuts and the first medals

The 2019 edition of the Animus Youth Games has already elected the first winners. The Taekwondo and Athletics tournaments had ran out during the first day of competitions.
Already sure then to be on the podium during the awards ceremony that will begin today at 6.30pm in Piazza Cavour to put the medals on their necks, in the general taekwondo team ranking are Italy, Croatia and Greece respectively.
In individual competitions, those selected with respect to the weight of the athletes, in the men’s tournament -63 won Italy while Greece is on the highest step in the category -59. The winners of the women’s tournament are Italy in -52 category and Croatia in -46 category respectively. In athletics the long jump saw the Estonian Jaani and the Montenegrin Vojvodic triumph.
In sprints, on the 80 meters the Italian Mattia Ruggeri imposed itself while among the female competition the Croatian Blazevic won. In the 300 meters first place goes to the Croatian Cecic and the Montenegrin Vujcic; in the men’s 1000 meters won the Czech Travnicek , in the girls competition the Serbian Grujic. In the shot put, the Czech Hruskova won between girls while Croatia triumphed in the women’s relay.
Italian domain in beach volley. At 11 am at the Palabeach the first man place will be contended between the Ravellino-Costanzi duo against Latella-Agrioli. In the women’s tournament the Italian duo Cicchitelli-Ripanti will challenge the Croatian duo.
Tennis is aligned to the semi-finals starting at 9 in men’s, women’s and mixed doubles tournaments.
In rugby the dominating team is from Abruzzo, already certain of the gold edal, while the second and third place will be decided in the last races.
In water polo the final for the gold scheduled at 13.30 at the Passetto pool will be between Greece and Italy. For the bronze will compete Slovenia and Greece.
Soccer is aligned to the semi-finals scheduled from the morning in the Paolinelli federal center where the best 4 teams will play: Bosnia, Italy, Serbia and Greece. The others will play at the Vallemiano camp for the place from 5’to 8′.
Even the handball awaits the semi-finals and finals for the podium that will be played at the Palaveneto from 9 am while the consolation finals at the Palacus.
In the men’s 3×3 Basketball the semifinals are Croatia-Greece and Serbia-Italy2, while in the women’s tournament the partecipating nations are Italy1-Serbia and Latvia-Bosnia.
