The A.NI.M.US. project provides dozens of local events and 5 Educational Info Events that will take place between May and October 2019.

1. Seminar on health-enhancing sport activities and eating behaviors for young people and seniors, with a workshop on Mediterranean diet

The eventaims is to promote physical activity as a mean to improve health, reduce overweight and to prevent eating disorders like anorexia, bulimia etc. The workshop highlights the nutrition and health aspects of Mediterranean diet and the relationship between Mediterranean diet and traditional cultural knowledge in Mediterranean communities.

2. Seminar on equality between women and men in sport and through sport

The event aims is to promote the role of sport to mainstream gender equality issues in connection to gender roles as set out in the Strategy for equality between women and men and on the promotion of women’s access to sport and to leadership and decision-making positions in sport (with a focus on the Candidate and Potential Candidate Countries).

3. Seminar on social inclusion in and through sport of persons with disabilities

The event aims is to improve infrastructures, facilities and venues toward a better accessibility of sport and physical activities for disables. During the seminar, specialised sport devices are presented together with research and innovation actions in the field.

4. Cities for Sport and Inclusion Conference

The Conference aims at analyzing and improving the role of public local bodies for the promotion of “sport for all” principle based on equal opportunities. The seminar will present the best actions for linking sport and sectors engaged with the issue of social inclusion and for promoting participation in sport of people who come from disadvantaged backgrounds at the same time as ensuring their inclusion into society through sport.

5. Final event/seminar on inclusive sport in the Adriatic Ionian Region and beyond and volunteering opportunities

The Seminar aims to promote on the one hand the importance of voluntary activities in sport both as a tool for social inclusion and as a mean of acquiring skills and competences necessary for employability and cohesion. On the other hand, the Seminar will be focused on policies and tools to promote sport cooperation on the principle of ‘sport for all’ based on equal access and equal opportunities, intercultural dialogue between persons from different cultural backgrounds through sport.
